Jamboree 2009
Thousands of Australian Sport Compact drag racing enthusiasts attended the annual Sport Compact spectacular held at Willowbank Raceway in Queensland.
The track, the weather and the racers did not dissapoint with a number of PB and Records set at the event.
GAS Motorsport Titan Toyota was the fastest car on the track with a blindingly fast ET of 6.487@213, PAC Performance’s herculean effort to rebuild their badly burnt Mazda 6 in just five days was rewarded with a 6.825@201.04, a new PB for both the car and the driver, but the undisputed winner of the day was Aaron Gregory in the In Tune Monaro.
Turbosmart-sponsored Monaro took on Joe Signorelli’s GAS Toyota in the finals, winning the race with a great launch and an ET of 7.31@186.
